Friend, and co-founder of the ANWW, Diana Douglas, has taken the plunge into the swift waters of the Amazon with the publication of her two Regency romances, The Bewitching Hour and its sequel The Devil’s Own Luck.
While I haven’t read these two particular books, I have read a lot of Diana’s work, and can vouch that she is a talented writer. I’m told these are fun romps and deliciously romantic, with just the right amount of naughty.
September 18th & 19th you can download The Bewitching Hour for free.
Diana says:
Set in London, 1815, this Regency Romance has its dramatic moments–attempted murder, blackmail, and revenge–but overall it’s pretty light fare. I hope my readers have as much fun reading it as I did writing it.
The Regency Era is a fascinating time and after months of research I came to understand why so many novels are set during this time period. The possibilities for plot lines are endless. King George is no longer mentally fit to rule Britain and his self-indulgent son takes over the throne. Napoleon comes uncomfortably close to conquering the world, America is still fighting for its freedom from British rule and English soldiers are scattered nearly world-wide in both endeavors. Yet, while all this is going on, the rigid social decorum among the English upper-crust is unchanged.
The Bewitching Hour and sequel The Devil’s Own Luck will both be out in print before the end of the year.

I haven’t read a romance novel in ages — and I was just thinking that I wanted to, but I know nothing about the genre or where I should start to read. So your blog is perfectly timed and I will definitely be downloading Diana’s book today. Can’t wait! Thanks you!

I’m with Julia on this!
So nice to hear when a fellow workshopper sends her novel out into the world, isn’t it?
